Start your day by driving south of Beirut along the coast to Sidon, one of the oldest and most historically significant cities in Lebanon. Your first stop will be the “Castle of the Sea”, a crusader’s castle built in the 13th century. The castle is perched on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and offers stunning views of the city and the coast. From the castle, you can walk down to the old covered souks, where you can find traditional Lebanese handicrafts and souvenirs. Finally, visit the Audi Soap Museum, which exhibits the history of soap making in Lebanon. The museum also has a gift shop where you can buy traditional Lebanese soaps.
