Byblos and Dog River

Start your day by driving north of Beirut to the Dog River. Here, you will see the 19 inscriptions that were carved into the cliffs by history’s great conquerors. Continue your drive to Byblos (Jbeil), which is the oldest continually inhabited town in the world. In Byblos, you will visit the Crusaders’ castle, the Phoenician temples, the Roman theater, and the Royal Necropolis. You will also enjoy a lovely promenade on the coast next to the port.
